The Constitutional Kingdom of Robertsonstan is a colossal, economically powerful nation, ruled by King Robert I with a fair hand, and renowned for its barren, inhospitable landscape. The hard-nosed, hard-working, intelligent population of 7.725 billion Robertsonstanians enjoy a sensible mix of personal and economic freedoms, while the political process is open and the people's right to vote held sacrosanct.

It is difficult to tell where the omnipresent, corrupt government stops and the rest of society begins, but it devotes most of its attentions to Defence, with areas such as the Environment and Social Equality receiving almost no funds by comparison. It meets every day to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Taylorville. The average income tax rate is 5%. A powerhouse of a private sector is dominated by the Arms Manufacturing industry.

Citizens recently voted in favour of declaring bubblewrap an 'abomination of nature', the armed forces are locked in an expensive and bloody war abroad to stamp out possible terrorists, birth rates have hit an all-time low, and roads are often attended by round-the-clock construction crews. Crime is crippling. Robertsonstan's national animal is the Ragdoll, which teeters on the brink of extinction due to widespread deforestation, its national religion is None, and its currency is the Tay.

Robertsonstan is ranked 105th in The Allied States and 96,135th in the world for Largest Trout Fishing Sector, scoring -2 on the Nemo Depletion Efficiency Index.
