OverviewPeopleGovernmentEconomyTrendAnalysis

The Enlightened Kingdom of Rhydychen is a colossal, environmentally stunning nation, ruled by King Matthew II with an even hand, and notable for its restrictive gun laws. The compassionate, intelligent population of 8.528 billion Rhydychenites are fiercely patriotic and enjoy great social equality; they tend to view other, more capitalist countries as somewhat immoral and corrupt.

It is difficult to tell where the omnipresent government stops and the rest of society begins, but it devotes most of its attentions to Education, with areas such as Religion & Spirituality and Defence receiving almost no funds by comparison. It meets every day to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Oxonia. The average income tax rate is 91%, and even higher for the wealthy. The private sector is almost wholly made up of enterprising ten-year-olds selling lemonade on the sidewalk, although the government is looking at stamping this out.

The "Underwear of Women in Power" issue of The Oxonia Times is sold out, the nation has an international reputation for compassion, children as young as six shock their parents by coming out of the closet, and third party candidates are now gaining some representation in Parliament. Crime is totally unknown, thanks to the all-pervasive police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. Rhydychen's national animal is the ddraig goch, which is also the nation's favorite main course, and its currency is the punt sterling.

Rhydychen is ranked 4th in The League of Just Nations and 112,722nd in the world for Largest Arms Manufacturing Sector, scoring -12 on the Charon Conveyancy Index.
