OverviewPeopleGovernmentEconomyTrendAnalysis

The Paradise of Republika Slovenija is a colossal, socially progressive nation, ruled by Triglav with an even hand, and remarkable for its ban on automobiles. The compassionate population of 6.816 billion Republika Slovenijans enjoy extensive civil freedoms, particularly in social issues, while business tends to be more regulated.

It is difficult to tell where the omnipresent, liberal government stops and the rest of society begins, but it juggles the competing demands of the Environment, Education, and Social Equality. It meets every day to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Ljubljana. Citizens pay a flat income tax of 53%. The private sector is almost wholly made up of enterprising ten-year-olds selling lemonade on the sidewalk, although the government is looking at stamping this out.

Wind farms are erected on shuttered oil platforms, heavy industry must go to expensive lengths to dispose of waste, some members of Parliament are illiterate, and stray cats threaten the fledgling avian-based internet. Crime -- especially youth-related -- is crippling, and the police force struggles against a lack of funding and a high mortality rate. Republika Slovenija's national animal is the Zlatorog, which frolics freely in the nation's many lush forests, its national religion is a major religion, and its currency is the Euro.

Republika Slovenija is ranked 17th in The Axis of Evil and 37,979th in the world for Highest Average Tax Rates, scoring 7 on the Inverse Hayek Index.
