The Hope and Glory of Ravania Ultra is a massive, cultured nation, ruled by Rufus Ragerock with an even hand, and renowned for its compulsory vegetarianism. Its compassionate, intelligent population of 1.642 billion enjoy extensive civil rights and enjoy a level of social equality free from the usual accompanying government corruption.

It is difficult to tell where the omnipresent government stops and the rest of society begins, but it juggles the competing demands of Education, the Environment, and Social Welfare. It meets every day to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Ultratonia. The average income tax rate is 91%, and even higher for the wealthy. The private sector is almost wholly made up of enterprising ten-year-olds selling lemonade on the sidewalk, although the government is looking at stamping this out.

Citizens are allowed to rise or fall based on their own merits, public nudity is compulsory, students are known to arrive at school in their pyjamas, and the government is making attempts at curtailing the flood of spam emails with little progress. Crime is totally unknown, thanks to the all-pervasive police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. Ravania Ultra's national animal is the Raven, which frolics freely in the nation's many lush forests, its national religion is The Order of the Black Raven, and its currency is the Claw.

Ravania Ultra is ranked 22nd in Vlaanderen and 97,453rd in the world for Shortest Average Lifespan, scoring -30 on the Bus Surprisal Index.
