The Kingdom of Ragnarsdomr is a colossal, economically powerful nation, ruled by Hroerek Svartrinn with an even hand, and renowned for its sprawling nuclear power plants. Its hard-nosed, hard-working population of 5.392 billion have some civil rights, but not too many, enjoy the freedom to spend their money however they like, to a point, and take part in free and open elections, although not too often.

It is difficult to tell where the omnipresent government stops and the rest of society begins, but it is effectively ruled by the Department of Defence, with areas such as Social Equality and Social Welfare receiving almost no funds by comparison. It meets every day to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Eldsheimr. The average income tax rate is 78%. A powerhouse of a private sector is led by the Arms Manufacturing, Gambling, and Tourism industries.

Senior citizens are often found slaving away in factories, crime suspects are forced to submit to blood testing, politicians accepting drinks in bars are executed for taking bribes, and the breathalyser pledge is a traditional part of marriages in Ragnarsdomr. Crime -- especially youth-related -- is totally unknown, thanks to the all-pervasive police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. Ragnarsdomr's national animal is the wyrm, which is also the nation's favorite main course, and its currency is the kaup.
