The Commonwealth of RAEWN is a gargantuan, devout nation, remarkable for its anti-smoking policies. Its intelligent population of 15.04 billion hold their civil and political rights very dear, although the wealthy and those in business tend to be viewed with suspicion.

The government -- a sprawling, bureaucracy-choked morass -- juggles the competing demands of Social Welfare, Education, and Defence. The average income tax rate is 38%, but much higher for the wealthy. A powerhouse of a private sector is led by the Automobile Manufacturing, Book Publishing, and Arms Manufacturing industries.

Genetic research has been halted, ethnic minorities are often refused admission to some of the nation's best schools, the alarmingly racist TV show 'Bigtopians Say the Darndest Things' is a hit, and eminent domain has been abolished. Crime -- especially youth-related -- is a problem, and the police force struggles against a lack of funding and a high mortality rate. RAEWN's national animal is the desolate voyagerleale, which is also the nation's favorite main course, and its currency is the sibilate-natan-naticus.

RAEWN is ranked 14th in Hyrule and 49,673rd in the world for Shortest Average Lifespan, scoring -12 on the Bus Surprisal Index.
