The General Social Republic of Questers is a gargantuan, economically powerful nation, renowned for its unlimited-speed roads. Its hard-nosed, hard-working population of 18.365 billion have some civil rights, but not too many, enjoy the freedom to spend their money however they like, to a point, and take part in free and open elections, although not too often.

It is difficult to tell where the omnipresent government stops and the rest of society begins, but it devotes most of its attentions to Defence, with areas such as the Environment and Social Equality receiving almost no funds by comparison. It meets every day to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Jesselton. Income tax is unheard of. A powerhouse of a private sector is led by the Arms Manufacturing, Uranium Mining, and Gambling industries.

'A is for Annulment' is a popular children's song, speaking out against the government is punishable by flogging, parents live in fear of governmental 'child protection' squads, and CEOs can't hear the term 'Fire Sale' without bursting into tears. Crime is crippling. Questers's national animal is the Alsatian, which teeters on the brink of extinction due to widespread deforestation, and its currency is the Libra solidus denarius.

Questers is ranked 11th in Ellorea and 29,181st in the world for Largest Public Sector, scoring 14 on the Bureaucratic Comprehensiveness Rating Scale Index.
