The UnConstitutional Instincts of Proletaurus is a massive, cultured nation, ruled by Casual Working Class Dude with a fair hand, and renowned for its compulsory military service. Its compassionate, intelligent population of 4.68 billion are free to do what they want with their own bodies, and vote for whoever they like in elections; if they go into business, however, they are regulated to within an inch of their lives.

It is difficult to tell where the omnipresent, liberal, socially-minded government stops and the rest of society begins, but it juggles the competing demands of Education, Social Welfare, and Social Equality. It meets every day to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Proletaurian Jungle Commune. The average income tax rate is 92%, and even higher for the wealthy. The private sector is almost wholly made up of enterprising ten-year-olds selling lemonade on the sidewalk, although the government is looking at stamping this out.

Retirement homes are often fitted with luxurious suites, the nation's youth is held blameless for all crimes, a government program is underway to revitalize Proletaurus's beaches, and the people elect the Supreme Court justices directly. Crime -- especially youth-related -- is a major problem, and the police force struggles against a lack of funding and a high mortality rate. Proletaurus's national animal is the Sabot Cat, which is also the nation's favorite main course, and its currency is the Marx.

Proletaurus is ranked 33rd in Communist International League and 9,258th in the world for Most Income Equality, scoring 177 on the Marx-Engels Emancipation Scale.
