The Free Land of Prasnia is a massive, genial nation, remarkable for its punitive income tax rates. Its compassionate, hard-working, intelligent population of 4.924 billion hold their civil and political rights very dear, although the wealthy and those in business tend to be viewed with suspicion.

It is difficult to tell where the omnipresent government stops and the rest of society begins, but it is effectively ruled by the Department of Education, with areas such as Religion & Spirituality and Commerce receiving almost no funds by comparison. The average income tax rate is 63%. A small private sector is dominated by the Book Publishing industry.

The government has declined to declare any particular religion as its 'official' one, the fire protection service is wholly government-funded, Prasnia's famous countrysides are shrouded by wind farms, and mining safety laws are often more expensive than what's being mined. Crime is totally unknown, thanks to the all-pervasive police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. Prasnia's national animal is the tiger, which frolics freely in the nation's many lush forests, and its currency is the Penn.

Prasnia is ranked 13th in The Moon and 4,827th in the world for Most Politically Free, scoring 82 on the Diebold Election Inking Scale.
