The Junglist Robot Republic of Potatodom is a gargantuan, safe nation, ruled by Sub Bass Hivemind v6 with an even hand, and remarkable for its national health service. Its compassionate, hard-working, intelligent population of 19.069 billion have some civil rights, but not too many, enjoy the freedom to spend their money however they like, to a point, and take part in free and open elections, although not too often.

It is difficult to tell where the omnipresent government stops and the rest of society begins, but it is effectively ruled by the Department of Social Welfare, with areas such as Religion & Spirituality and Defence receiving almost no funds by comparison. It meets every day to discuss matters of state in the capital city of New Jive City. The average income tax rate is 96%. A powerhouse of a private sector is dominated by the Book Publishing industry.

Extreme political groups are outlawed, cyber-crime and tin-foil hat sales are both increasing at record rates, multiple polls have christened the newly-formed Filibuster Committee as "the least efficient government bureaucracy", and the 'kind of scrawny' 500 meter hurdle is a popular event. Crime is totally unknown, thanks to the all-pervasive police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. Potatodom's national animal is the big fluffy cat, which frolics freely in the nation's many lush forests, and its currency is the potat.

Potatodom is ranked 4,719th in the South Pacific and 101,075th in the world for Shortest Average Lifespan, scoring -58 on the Bus Surprisal Index.
