The Multinational Conglomerate of Planet Metroid is a massive, socially progressive nation, ruled by CEO Aran with an even hand, and notable for its complete lack of public education. Its hard-nosed, hard-working, cynical population of 3.5 billion are either ruled by a sleek, efficient government or a conglomerate of multinational corporations; it's difficult to tell which.

The large, corrupt, pro-business government juggles the competing demands of Defence, Law & Order, and Commerce. It meets every day to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Aran City. Income tax is unheard of. A powerhouse of a private sector is led by the Information Technology industry, followed by Arms Manufacturing and Gambling.

Universities are populated by the spawn of the upper classes, abortions are routinely performed in Planet Metroid's hospitals, Animal Liberationists are regularly jailed, and the bonfire of the old paper records can be seen for miles around Aran City. Crime is crippling. Planet Metroid's national animal is the Bald Panda, which teeters on the brink of extinction due to widespread deforestation, its national religion is to worship the CEO and the board, and its currency is the Samark.
