The Free Land of Pinsetrue is a massive, safe nation, notable for its barren, inhospitable landscape. Its hard-nosed, hard-working, intelligent population of 3.273 billion hold their civil and political rights very dear, although the wealthy and those in business tend to be viewed with suspicion.

The large government juggles the competing demands of Education, Defence, and Law & Order. It meets every day to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Liberton. Citizens pay a flat income tax of 3%. A powerhouse of a private sector is led by the Information Technology industry, followed by Arms Manufacturing and Book Publishing.

The tenet of free speech is held dear, the people elect the Supreme Court justices directly, inheritance tax has recently been abolished, and rag-wearing teachers are often mistaken for homeless people. Crime -- especially youth-related -- is totally unknown, thanks to the all-pervasive police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. Pinsetrue's national animal is the falcon, which teeters on the brink of extinction due to widespread deforestation, and its currency is the freedmark.

Pinsetrue is ranked 150th in the South Pacific and 6,534th in the world for Shortest Average Lifespan, scoring 9 on the Bus Surprisal Index.
