The Militaristic Matriarchy of Pikti is a massive, safe nation, ruled by Squadron Admiral Octobrianna with a fair hand, and renowned for its compulsory military service. Its compassionate, intelligent population of 4.712 billion are free to do what they want with their own bodies, and vote for whoever they like in elections; if they go into business, however, they are regulated to within an inch of their lives.

It is difficult to tell where the omnipresent government stops and the rest of society begins, but it juggles the competing demands of Defence, Education, and Social Equality. It meets every day to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Heavily Armoured Bunker of Pikti. The average income tax rate is 95%. The private sector is almost wholly made up of enterprising ten-year-olds selling lemonade on the sidewalk, although the government is looking at stamping this out.

The commercialisation of highly deadly weapons has instilled Pikti with a very polite populace, most of the military's funding goes into researching space-age weaponry, euthanasia is legal, and manufacturers are sued for almost anything not covered in their catalogue-sized manuals. Crime -- especially youth-related -- is well under control. Pikti's national animal is the Armed Sparrow, which frolics freely in the nation's many lush forests, and its currency is the SRBT Bucks.

Pikti is ranked 54th in Communist International League and 23,050th in the world for Healthiest Citizens, with 7 Standard Bananas Ingested per capita per day.
