The Blazed Knights of Phalynx is a massive, economically powerful nation, ruled by Dwyane Wade with an iron fist, and remarkable for its complete absence of social welfare. Its hard-nosed, hard-working, cynical population of 2.262 billion are rabid consumers, partly through choice and partly because the government tells them to and dissenters tend to vanish from their homes at night.

It is difficult to tell where the omnipresent, corrupt, pro-business government stops and the rest of society begins, but it juggles the competing demands of Commerce, Defence, and Law & Order. It meets every day to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Wade County. The average income tax rate is 63%. A powerhouse of a private sector is led by the Arms Manufacturing, Information Technology, and Automobile Manufacturing industries.

Politicians are to be found scavenging bins at night to supplement their income, the government has cut taxes in the face of widespread tax evasion, military service is compulsory, and agricultural science is the most competitive subject at Phalynx's universities. Crime is totally unknown, thanks to the all-pervasive police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. Phalynx's national animal is the Pegasus, which is also the nation's favorite main course, its national religion is Miami Sports, and its currency is the Galleon.

Phalynx is ranked 12th in The Milky Way Galaxy and 5,877th in the world for Shortest Average Lifespan, scoring 11 on the Bus Surprisal Index.
