The Allied Factions of Personopelia is a massive, safe nation, ruled by Overperson with an even hand, and renowned for its compulsory military service. Its hard-nosed, hard-working, intelligent population of 1.276 billion are either ruled by a sleek, efficient government or a conglomerate of multinational corporations; it's difficult to tell which.

It is difficult to tell where the omnipresent, pro-business government stops and the rest of society begins, but it juggles the competing demands of Defence, Law & Order, and Commerce. It meets every day to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Personopolis. Citizens pay a flat income tax of 12%. A powerhouse of a private sector is led by the Arms Manufacturing, Information Technology, and Woodchip Exports industries.

A study has shown that many parents are too embarrassed to teach their children sex education, crowds of flag-burning protesters tend to accidentally become crowds of burning protesters, new urban roads are threatening city parks, and politicians accepting drinks in bars are executed for taking bribes. Crime -- especially youth-related -- is totally unknown, thanks to the all-pervasive police force. Personopelia's national animal is the Personopod, which teeters on the brink of extinction due to widespread deforestation, and its currency is the Bottle Cap.
