It is difficult to tell where the omnipresent government stops and the rest of society begins, but it juggles the competing demands of Defence, Education, and Healthcare. It meets every day to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Togetherness. The average income tax rate is 53%, and even higher for the wealthy. A powerhouse of a private sector is dominated by the Arms Manufacturing industry.

CEOs and corporate executives are frequently found striking for better stock options, the government is pursuing a new programme aimed at promoting cultural sophistication, Members of Parliament operate under a PAYE scheme, and violently opinionated speakers can be heard preaching their hateful views on every street corner. Crime is relatively low. People United Together's national animal is the killer whale, which teeters on the brink of extinction due to widespread deforestation, and its currency is the treasury note.
