Overview • PeopleGovernmentEconomyTrendAnalysis

The Democratic Republic of Parti Ouvrier is a massive, safe nation, ruled by the working class with a fair hand, and notable for its punitive income tax rates. Its compassionate, intelligent population of 3.816 billion are free to do what they want with their own bodies, and vote for whoever they like in elections; if they go into business, however, they are regulated to within an inch of their lives.

It is difficult to tell where the omnipresent government stops and the rest of society begins, but it juggles the competing demands of Social Welfare, Education, and Healthcare. It meets every day to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Ouvrier . The average income tax rate is 68%, and even higher for the wealthy. The private sector is almost wholly made up of enterprising ten-year-olds selling lemonade on the sidewalk, although the government is looking at stamping this out.

Innocent defendants often plea guilty for fear of receiving a much harsher sentence before jury, large sections of Parti Ouvrier have been named national reserves to protect the native tribes living there, the government is attempting to revitalize a gutted private sector, and computer users are buried daily in thousands of unsolicited emails. Crime is relatively low. Parti Ouvrier's national animal is the worker, which frolics freely in the nation's many lush forests, and its currency is the the Euro.

Parti Ouvrier is ranked 125th in USSR and 94,347th in the world for Shortest Average Lifespan, scoring -25 on the Bus Surprisal Index.
