Small businesses are gobbled up almost daily by corporate giants, teenagers stay out into the wee hours of the morning "stargazing", politicians constantly ring their voters to remind them how good a job they're doing, and the country's famous rainforests are being bulldozed by the mining industry. Crime is totally unknown, thanks to the all-pervasive police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. Paradroid's national animal is the mouse, which is also the nation's favorite main course, its national religion is Atheism, and its currency is the chip.
