The Republic of Ozjudge is a massive, economically powerful nation, ruled by Landoc Sa'murry with a fair hand, and renowned for its anti-smoking policies. Its hard-nosed, intelligent population of 2.528 billion love a good election, and the government gives them plenty of them. Universities tend to be full of students debating the merits of various civil and political rights, while businesses are tightly regulated and the wealthy viewed with suspicion.

It is difficult to tell where the omnipresent government stops and the rest of society begins, but it is mainly concerned with Law & Order, although Education and Healthcare are on the agenda. The average income tax rate is 63%, and even higher for the wealthy. A powerhouse of a private sector is dominated by the Information Technology industry.

Scientists regularly clone human beings for research purposes, euthanasia is legal, the government's only official statement on the burning down of Ozjudge City was that 'they shouldn't have been so careless', and referenda can be called for any law at the request of at least one third of the voting population. Crime -- especially youth-related -- is totally unknown, thanks to the all-pervasive police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. Ozjudge's national animal is the Ant Tamer, which is also the nation's favorite main course, and its currency is the Rimi.

Ozjudge is ranked 3,801st in the West Pacific and 87,573rd in the world for Shortest Average Lifespan, scoring -20 on the Bus Surprisal Index.
