The United States of Ozanria is a massive, economically powerful nation, ruled by Governor Mazariya with an even hand, and renowned for its complete lack of prisons. Its hard-nosed, hard-working population of 4.286 billion are either ruled by a sleek, efficient government or a conglomerate of multinational corporations; it's difficult to tell which.

The minute, pro-business government, or what there is of one, juggles the competing demands of Defence, Law & Order, and Commerce. It meets every day to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Santa Covina. Citizens pay a flat income tax of 3%. A powerhouse of a private sector is led by the Information Technology, Arms Manufacturing, and Tourism industries.

A niche industry catering to S&M enthusiasts has sprung up, Tesco was recently named as the new national treasurer, the country's famous rainforests are being bulldozed by the mining industry, and psychological disorders are a taboo subject. Crime is relatively low, thanks to the all-pervasive police force. Ozanria's national animal is the Lion, which teeters on the brink of extinction due to widespread deforestation, and its currency is the Peso.
