The Corporate Dominion of Ordeiss is a massive, economically powerful nation, ruled by Anna the Great with an iron fist, and remarkable for its complete lack of prisons. Its hard-nosed, hard-working, cynical population of 1.544 billion are rabid consumers, partly through choice and partly because the government tells them to and dissenters tend to vanish from their homes at night.

The medium-sized, corrupt, pro-business government juggles the competing demands of Defence, Law & Order, and Commerce. It meets every day to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Dorne. Income tax is unheard of. A powerhouse of a private sector is led by the Arms Manufacturing, Information Technology, and Automobile Manufacturing industries.

Corporate 'hostile takeovers' now involve ICBMs and main battle tanks, government officials frequently cut taxes as a distraction from antics with their secretaries, police officers have been re-kitted with designer uniforms and gold plated handcuffs, and cars speed down national highways while drivers sleep at the wheel. Crime is crippling, probably because of the country's utter lack of prisons. Ordeiss's national animal is the Heron, which teeters on the brink of extinction due to widespread deforestation, its national religion is Cult of the Dear Leader, and its currency is the Ord.

Ordeiss is ranked 16th in Texas and 2,841st in the world for Shortest Average Lifespan, scoring 24 on the Bus Surprisal Index.
