The Forest Glade of Ora Amaris is a massive, socially progressive nation, ruled by Lady Paige with a fair hand, and renowned for its ban on automobiles. Its compassionate, intelligent population of 4.771 billion are free to do what they want with their own bodies, and vote for whoever they like in elections; if they go into business, however, they are regulated to within an inch of their lives.

It is difficult to tell where the omnipresent, socially-minded government stops and the rest of society begins, but it juggles the competing demands of Education, the Environment, and Social Equality. It meets every day to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Hearthfire. The average income tax rate is 99%. The private sector is almost wholly made up of enterprising ten-year-olds selling lemonade on the sidewalk, although the government is looking at stamping this out.

'A is for Annulment' is a popular children's song, cheese has become the new icon of political dissent, highschool principals regularly send armed truancy patrols to drag problem students to school, and re-education centers are being added to most prisons. Crime -- especially youth-related -- is a serious problem, and the police force struggles against a lack of funding and a high mortality rate. Ora Amaris's national animal is the sloth, which frolics freely in the nation's many lush forests, its national religion is Alchemy, and its currency is the circle.

Ora Amaris is ranked 31st in Forest and 24,213th in the world for Most Extreme, scoring 26 on the Paul-Nader Subjective Decentrality Index.
