The Earthly Haven of Ora Amaris is a colossal, environmentally stunning nation, ruled by First Member Orian Paisley with a fair hand, and notable for its complete lack of prisons. The compassionate, intelligent population of 5.072 billion Amarisians love a good election, and the government gives them plenty of them. Universities tend to be full of students debating the merits of various civil and political rights, while businesses are tightly regulated and the wealthy viewed with suspicion.

It is difficult to tell where the omnipresent government stops and the rest of society begins, but it juggles the competing demands of Education, the Environment, and Social Equality. It meets every day to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Eudaimonia. The average income tax rate is 99%. The private sector is almost wholly made up of enterprising ten-year-olds selling lemonade on the sidewalk, although the government is looking at stamping this out.

Parents live in fear of governmental 'child protection' squads, the art of conversation has been rediscovered, birth rates have hit an all-time low, and welfare funding has recently gone through the roof. Crime -- especially youth-related -- is moderate, probably because of the country's utter lack of prisons. Ora Amaris's national animal is the butterfly, which frolics freely in the nation's many lush forests, its national religion is Paganism, and its currency is the circle.

Ora Amaris is ranked 35th in Hippy Haven and 17,611th in the world for Most Extensive Civil Rights, with 72 Martin Luther King, Jr. Units.
