Its hard-nosed, hard-working, intelligent population of 2.205 billion hold their civil and political rights very dear, although the wealthy and those in business tend to be viewed with suspicion.

It is difficult to tell where the omnipresent, liberal government stops and the rest of society begins, but it juggles the competing demands of Education, Commerce, and Social Welfare. It meets every day to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Omegadorian Prime. The average income tax rate is 72%. A powerhouse of a private sector is led by the Tourism industry, followed by Book Publishing and Information Technology.

Truth is often impossible to tell from fiction on the evening news, the government is promoting multicultural values with the new 'Just Be Nice, OK?' initiative, small businesses are gobbled up almost daily by corporate giants, and citizens applying for their first jobs face fierce competition from the homeless. Crime is totally unknown. Omegador's national animal is the Thaleron, which is also the nation's favorite main course, its national religion is Universalism, and its currency is the Sol.
