The Mighty Martian Empire of Olympia is a massive, safe nation, ruled by Vladimir Olympia with an iron fist, and renowned for its anti-smoking policies. Its hard-nosed, hard-working, cynical population of 1.327 billion are ruled by a mostly-benevolent dictator, who grants the populace the freedom to live their own lives but watches carefully for anyone to slip up.

It is difficult to tell where the omnipresent, corrupt government stops and the rest of society begins, but it juggles the competing demands of Law & Order, Commerce, and Defence. It meets every day to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Olympia City. The average income tax rate is 63%. A powerhouse of a private sector is led by the Gambling, Information Technology, and Woodchip Exports industries.

A large concrete wall is being built around the country's borders, many working fathers have never seen their children, waste is frequently shipped to other countries, and the nation's infamous boot camp is more brutal than most battlefields. Crime is totally unknown, thanks to the all-pervasive police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. Olympia's national animal is the Hawk, which teeters on the brink of extinction due to widespread deforestation, and its currency is the Vlad.
