The Principality of Nova Prutenia is a colossal, environmentally stunning nation, ruled by Prince Adam von Konigsberg with a fair hand, and renowned for its museums and concert halls. Its hard-nosed, hard-working, intelligent population of 7.805 billion hold their civil and political rights very dear, although the wealthy and those in business tend to be viewed with suspicion.

It is difficult to tell where the omnipresent, liberal government stops and the rest of society begins, but it concentrates mainly on Education, although Social Welfare and Public Transport are on the agenda. It meets every day to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Konigsberg. The average income tax rate is 37%, but much higher for the wealthy. A powerhouse of a private sector is dominated by the Book Publishing industry.

Radio shows frequently feature people denouncing religion, the government is pouring money into 'Operation Enduring Democracy', major cities are suffering under water rationing, and nude art is becoming wildly popular. Crime is totally unknown, thanks to the all-pervasive police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. Nova Prutenia's national animal is the Imperial Eagle, which frolics freely in the nation's many lush forests, and its currency is the Thaler.

Nova Prutenia is ranked 390th in Europe and 92,231st in the world for Shortest Average Lifespan, scoring -23 on the Bus Surprisal Index.
