The Grand Principality of Nova Prutenia is a colossal, economically powerful nation, ruled by Prince Adam von Konigsberg with a fair hand, and renowned for its irreverence towards religion. Its hard-nosed, intelligent population of 9.951 billion are free to do what they want with their own bodies, and vote for whoever they like in elections; if they go into business, however, they are regulated to within an inch of their lives.

It is difficult to tell where the omnipresent, liberal government stops and the rest of society begins, but it juggles the competing demands of Education, Public Transport, and the Environment. It meets every day to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Konigsberg. The average income tax rate is 39%, but much higher for the wealthy. A powerhouse of a private sector is dominated by the Book Publishing industry.

Waste is frequently shipped to other countries, inheritance tax has recently been abolished, almost all of Nova Prutenia's water is piped into the country from abroad for exorbitant prices, and teenagers stay out into the wee hours of the morning "stargazing". Crime is totally unknown, thanks to the all-pervasive police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. Nova Prutenia's national animal is the Imperial Eagle, which frolics freely in the nation's many lush forests, and its currency is the Thaler.

Nova Prutenia is ranked 206th in Europe and 25,463rd in the world for Largest Public Sector, scoring 16 on the Bureaucratic Comprehensiveness Rating Scale Index.
