The Republic Democracy of Norvine is a massive, economically powerful nation, renowned for its anti-smoking policies. Its hard-nosed, hard-working population of 1.835 billion have some civil rights, but not too many, enjoy the freedom to spend their money however they like, to a point, and take part in free and open elections, although not too often.

It is difficult to tell where the omnipresent government stops and the rest of society begins, but it juggles the competing demands of Education, Law & Order, and Commerce. It meets every day to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Trenton. The average income tax rate is 47%, but much higher for the wealthy. A powerhouse of a private sector is led by the Tourism industry, followed by Soda Sales and Uranium Mining.

Shanty towns have formed around the newly rebuilt commercial district, skateparks can be found in every city, the government is making attempts at curtailing the flood of spam emails with little progress, and citizens must pay to enjoy Norvine's pristine beaches. Crime is totally unknown, thanks to the all-pervasive police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. Norvine's national animal is the Silver-backed Gorilla, which frolics freely in the nation's many lush forests, its national religion is Christianity, and its currency is the Euronities.

Norvine is ranked 9th in ASEAN and 39,277th in the world for Largest Public Sector, scoring 13 on the Bureaucratic Comprehensiveness Rating Scale Index.
