The Carnivorous Lemurs of Northrealm is a colossal, safe nation, renowned for its barren, inhospitable landscape. Its hard-nosed, hard-working population of 6.879 billion are either ruled by a sleek, efficient government or a conglomerate of multinational corporations; it's difficult to tell which.

It is difficult to tell where the omnipresent, pro-business government stops and the rest of society begins, but it juggles the competing demands of Defence, Law & Order, and Social Welfare. Citizens pay a flat income tax of 52%. A powerhouse of a private sector is led by the Arms Manufacturing, Information Technology, and Uranium Mining industries.

The streets are increasingly clogged with poverty-stricken beggars, society and government have been organized according to a feudal hierarchy, people regularly disappear off the streets and all evidence of them is destroyed, and the government extracts trade concessions from poor nations in exchange for humanitarian aid. Crime -- especially youth-related -- is totally unknown, thanks to the all-pervasive police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. Northrealm's national animal is the red-tailed hawk, which teeters on the brink of extinction due to widespread deforestation, and its currency is the dollar.

Northrealm is ranked 105th in the region and 51,437th in the world for Highest Unemployment Rates.
