The National Republic of Nort-Western Russia is a massive, economically powerful nation, ruled by Barasuishou with an even hand, and remarkable for its keen interest in outer space. Its hard-nosed population of 2.507 billion have some civil rights, but not too many, enjoy the freedom to spend their money however they like, to a point, and take part in free and open elections, although not too often.

It is difficult to tell where the omnipresent, corrupt government stops and the rest of society begins, but it juggles the competing demands of Law & Order, Defence, and Education. It meets every day to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Stalinstadt. The average income tax rate is 96%. A powerhouse of a private sector is dominated by the Arms Manufacturing industry.

College students make ends meet by selling their kidneys, the nation has recently been attributed to the funding of terrorist organisations, all guns must be registered, and the police crack down on tax evaders without mercy. Crime -- especially youth-related -- is totally unknown, thanks to the all-pervasive police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. Nort-Western Russia's national animal is the bear, which is also the nation's favorite main course, its national religion is Azusanity, and its currency is the Silver Rouble.

Nort-Western Russia is ranked 120th in USSR and 93,552nd in the world for Shortest Average Lifespan, scoring -24 on the Bus Surprisal Index.
