The Islamic Iranian Republic of Norpoint is a massive, devout nation, ruled by President Ackmendidmenjad with an iron fist, and notable for its keen interest in outer space. Its compassionate, cynical population of 3.561 billion are ruled without fear or favor by a psychotic dictator, who outlaws just about everything and refers to the populace as "my little playthings."

It is difficult to tell where the omnipresent, corrupt, moralistic government stops and the rest of society begins, but it juggles the competing demands of Law & Order, Defence, and Religion & Spirituality. It meets every day to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Tehran. The average income tax rate is 96%. A powerhouse of a private sector is dominated by the Arms Manufacturing industry.

Manufacturers are sued for almost anything not covered in their catalogue-sized manuals, government police forces protect public schools from the threat of protest, the populace harbors a fierce hatred of the metric system, and the mining industry is making inroads into environmentally sensitive areas. Crime -- especially youth-related -- is totally unknown, thanks to the all-pervasive police force. Norpoint's national animal is the Sand Monkey, which teeters on the brink of extinction due to widespread deforestation, its national religion is Islam, and its currency is the Farei.

Norpoint is ranked 10th in Iran and 24,054th in the world for Most Influential, scoring 22 on the Soft Power Disbursement Rating.
