The National Royal Republic of Nitramda is a colossal, safe nation, ruled by Bahnhof with an iron fist, and renowned for its suspicion of poets. Its hard-nosed, hard-working, cynical population of 8.399 billion are ruled by a mostly-benevolent dictator, who grants the populace the freedom to live their own lives but watches carefully for anyone to slip up.

It is difficult to tell where the omnipresent, corrupt government stops and the rest of society begins, but it juggles the competing demands of Defence, Law & Order, and Education. It meets every day to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Nitramda Royal Capital City. Citizens pay a flat income tax of 63%. A powerhouse of a private sector is dominated by the Arms Manufacturing industry.

Only the rich can afford the latest medical innovations, the government has begun breaking all large businesses into thousands of mom-and-pop general stores, citizens can be frequently spotted going about their business stark naked, and an increasing percentage of the population's youth have homosexual parents. Crime -- especially youth-related -- is totally unknown, thanks to the all-pervasive police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. Nitramda's national animal is the Penguin, which is also the nation's favorite main course, and its currency is the Podchukian dollar.
