The Empire of Nightkill the Emperor is a gargantuan, cultured nation, ruled by Deadpool with an even hand, and remarkable for its anti-smoking policies. The hard-nosed, hard-working population of 10.185 billion Nightkill the Emperorians have some civil rights, but not too many, enjoy the freedom to spend their money however they like, to a point, and take part in free and open elections, although not too often.

It is difficult to tell where the omnipresent, corrupt government stops and the rest of society begins, but it juggles the competing demands of Defence, Law & Order, and Education. It meets every day to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Bombay. The average income tax rate is 99%. A powerhouse of a private sector is dominated by the Information Technology industry.

The people are famous throughout the region for their bleached-white teeth, the tribal zone has been opened to up to 'economic interest' groups, citizens are regularly arrested in queues for 'loitering', and it's always rabbit season. Crime is totally unknown, thanks to the all-pervasive police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. Nightkill the Emperor's national animal is the Animal, which frolics freely in the nation's many lush forests, its national religion is None, and its currency is the Capaldi.
