The United Federal States of New West Guiana is a colossal, safe nation, ruled by President Jackson with a fair hand, and renowned for its strong anti-business policies. The compassionate, intelligent population of 8.236 billion New West Guianans are free to do what they want with their own bodies, and vote for whomever they like in elections; if they go into business, however, they are regulated to within an inch of their lives.

It is difficult to tell where the omnipresent, liberal, socially-minded government stops and the rest of society begins, but it juggles the competing demands of Education, Social Welfare, and Social Equality. It meets every day to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Gemsbrook. The average income tax rate is 79%, and even higher for the wealthy. The private sector is almost wholly made up of enterprising ten-year-olds selling lemonade on the sidewalk, although the government is looking at stamping this out.

Oil executives can be seen reluctantly cleaning oil-soaked birds, birth rates have hit an all-time low, discarded pennies litter the streets, and vitriolic divorce proceedings have become prime-time television. Crime is well under control. New West Guiana's national animal is the Black Jay-Hawk, which soars majestically through the nation's famously clear skies, its national religion is Christianity, and its currency is the WG Dollar.

New West Guiana is ranked 39th in Atlantian Oceania and 38,718th in the world for Safest, scoring 121.4 on the Bubble-Rapp Safety Rating.
