The Free Republic of New Sloveniakia is a massive, genial nation, ruled by Int'l Socialist Alternative League with an even hand, and notable for its museums and concert halls. Its compassionate population of 3.255 billion are fiercely patriotic and enjoy great social equality; they tend to view other, more capitalist countries as somewhat immoral and corrupt.

It is difficult to tell where the omnipresent, socially-minded government stops and the rest of society begins, but it juggles the competing demands of Social Equality, Education, and Social Welfare. It meets every day to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Bukharingrad. The average income tax rate is 97%. The private sector is almost wholly made up of enterprising ten-year-olds selling lemonade on the sidewalk, although the government is looking at stamping this out.

Nine out of ten citizens of New Sloveniakia answered 'nuclear safety inspector' when asked their occupation, the 'kind of scrawny' 500 meter hurdle is a popular event, high-income earners pay a 100% tax rate, and unstable couples are known to break up over which one gets parental leave. Crime is totally unknown, thanks to the all-pervasive police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. New Sloveniakia's national animal is the Ant, which frolics freely in the nation's many lush forests, and its currency is the Goldman.

New Sloveniakia is ranked 28th in The Internationale and 2,356th in the world for Most Eco-Friendly Governments, scoring 156 on the Dolphin Recycling Awareness Index.
