Overview • PeopleGovernmentEconomyTrendAnalysis

The Republic of New Daleks II is a gargantuan, cultured nation, ruled by no leader with a fair hand, and renowned for its unlimited-speed roads. Its hard-nosed, hard-working, intelligent population of 14.795 billion hold their civil and political rights very dear, although the wealthy and those in business tend to be viewed with suspicion.

It is difficult to tell where the omnipresent, liberal government stops and the rest of society begins, but it concentrates mainly on Education, although the Environment and Commerce are secondary priorities. It meets every day to discuss matters of state in the capital city of New Daleks II City. The average income tax rate is 99%. Private enterprise is illegal, but for those in the know there is a slick and highly efficient black market in Tourism.

Politicians have to be granted day-release from prison to speak on bills, the police have been swamped with requests to stay up past bedtime, people reciting Shakespeare have become a common sight, and a government program is underway to revitalize New Daleks II's beaches. Crime is totally unknown, thanks to the all-pervasive police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. New Daleks II's national animal is the Dalek Mutant, which is also the nation's favorite main course, and its currency is the Dals.

New Daleks II is ranked 2nd in Ecotopia and 4,144th in the world for Most Influential, scoring 67 on the Soft Power Disbursement Rating.
