The Vezacarst of New Azura is a gargantuan, socially progressive nation, ruled by Vänæzriná Calixte I Marauder with an iron fist, and renowned for its suspicion of poets. Its hard-nosed, hard-working, cynical population of 11.719 billion are rabid consumers, partly through choice and partly because the government tells them to and dissenters tend to vanish from their homes at night.

There is no government in the normal sense of the word; however, a small group of community-minded, corrupt, pro-business individuals concentrates mainly on Commerce, although Religion & Spirituality and Law & Order are on the agenda. It meets every day to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Tsyion. Income tax is unheard of. A powerhouse of a private sector is led by the Uranium Mining industry, followed by Automobile Manufacturing and Arms Manufacturing.

There are no minimum wage laws, elections have recently been reintroduced to New Azura, employers may fire workers without giving any reason, and the richest citizens live in sheltered private citadels. Crime is crippling, probably because of the country's utter lack of prisons. New Azura's national animal is the Gothic Stag, which teeters on the brink of extinction due to widespread deforestation, its national religion is Caileanism, and its currency is the Azuran Rankoznačite.

New Azura is ranked 2nd in Gholgoth and 267th in the world for Largest Insurance Industry, scoring 18 on the Risk Expulsion Effectiveness Rating.
