Private business has started paving paradises and putting up parking lots, a large-scale revitalization of the education system is underway, retail stores offer sales every hour on the hour, and citizens must pay to enjoy NerrDrum's pristine beaches. Crime is a problem. NerrDrum's national animal is the Unit, which teeters on the brink of extinction due to widespread deforestation, and its currency is the Seashell.
