The United Confederate Union of Nercer - is a gargantuan, socially progressive nation, ruled by President Nathan Ossetia with a fair hand, and notable for its keen interest in outer space. Its compassionate, intelligent population of 10.469 billion hold their civil and political rights very dear, although the wealthy and those in business tend to be viewed with suspicion.

It is difficult to tell where the omnipresent government stops and the rest of society begins, but it juggles the competing demands of Education, Social Equality, and the Environment. It meets every day to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Troy. The average income tax rate is 73%, and even higher for the wealthy. The private sector is almost wholly made up of enterprising ten-year-olds selling lemonade on the sidewalk, although the government is looking at stamping this out.

The government is spending billions of taxpayer Dollars to support the Gambling industry, eminent domain has been abolished, record sales of 'child-whacking sticks' have been recorded, and the nation has an international reputation for compassion. Crime is totally unknown, thanks to the all-pervasive police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. Nercer -'s national animal is the Wolf, which is also the nation's favorite main course, and its currency is the Dollar.
