The Republic Union of Neosocialists is a massive, economically powerful nation, ruled by Dietrich Zimmermann with an even hand, and renowned for its complete absence of social welfare. Its compassionate, intelligent population of 2.012 billion have some civil rights, but not too many, enjoy the freedom to spend their money however they like, to a point, and take part in free and open elections, although not too often.

It is difficult to tell where the omnipresent government stops and the rest of society begins, but it concentrates mainly on Commerce, although Education and Law & Order are secondary priorities. It meets every day to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Neograd. The average income tax rate is 70%, and even higher for the wealthy. A powerhouse of a private sector is dominated by the Book Publishing industry.

Euthanasia is illegal, ten-year-olds regularly found their own political parties, prime real estate is devoted to wind farms and solar energy generators, and cheese has become the new icon of political dissent. Crime -- especially youth-related -- is totally unknown, thanks to the all-pervasive police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. Neosocialists's national animal is the Medved, which is also the nation's favorite main course, and its currency is the NRB.
