The Still Sleepy Nation of Needless to say is a gargantuan, economically powerful nation, ruled by Mr Potato Head with an even hand, and renowned for its unlimited-speed roads. Its compassionate, hard-working population of 14.189 billion have some civil rights, but not too many, enjoy the freedom to spend their money however they like, to a point, and take part in free and open elections, although not too often.

It is difficult to tell where the omnipresent government stops and the rest of society begins, but it concentrates mainly on the Environment, although Education and Public Transport are on the agenda. It meets every day to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Capital City. Citizens pay a flat income tax of 16%. The private sector is almost wholly made up of enterprising ten-year-olds selling lemonade on the sidewalk, although the government is looking at stamping this out.

Popular political cartoonists are thrown in jail for inciting dissent, long arduous trials are held for the most trivial of offences, postmen have been arrested in job lots for selling junk mail as home insulation, and students are known to arrive at school in their pyjamas. Crime is totally unknown, thanks to a well-funded police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. Needless to say's national animal is the hot dog, which is also the nation's favorite main course, and its currency is the needless.

Needless to say is ranked 81st in belgium and 38,999th in the world for Most Rebellious Youth, scoring 0 on the Stark-Dean Displacement Index.
