The Most Serene Republic of Monobot Minus Tuf is a massive, safe nation, renowned for its barren, inhospitable landscape. Its compassionate, cynical population of 4.958 billion are ruled without fear or favor by a psychotic dictator, who outlaws just about everything and refers to the populace as "my little playthings."

There is no government in the normal sense of the word; however, a small group of community-minded, corrupt, socially-minded individuals devotes most of its attentions to Social Welfare, with areas such as Defence and Law & Order receiving almost no funds by comparison. Income tax is unheard of. The private sector is almost wholly made up of enterprising ten-year-olds selling lemonade on the sidewalk, although the government is looking at stamping this out.

The arms industry has been shut down in a surge of pacifism, invading armies are given hard glares for their cheek, military funding has been stripped back, and the government is giving peace a chance. Crime -- especially youth-related -- is totally unknown. Monobot Minus Tuf's national animal is the tufbot toad, which teeters on the brink of extinction due to widespread deforestation, and its currency is the tufbot debit.

Monobot Minus Tuf is ranked 37th in Ulthar and 9,033rd in the world for Shortest Average Lifespan, scoring -1 on the Bus Surprisal Index.
