The Kingdom of Miscillenia is a massive, economically powerful nation, ruled by Leader with an even hand, and renowned for its barren, inhospitable landscape. Its hard-nosed, hard-working population of 1.745 billion are either ruled by a sleek, efficient government or a conglomerate of multinational corporations; it's difficult to tell which.

The large, corrupt, pro-business government juggles the competing demands of Commerce, Defence, and Law & Order. It meets every day to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Miscillenia City. Citizens pay a flat income tax of 12%. A powerhouse of a private sector is led by the Information Technology, Arms Manufacturing, and Gambling industries.

Crime suspects are forced to submit to blood testing, photographers have to apply for a license to photograph Leader, it is illegal for police officers to carry out searches due to strict privacy laws, and minority children spend hours bussing to schools miles away from home. Crime -- especially youth-related -- is crippling. Miscillenia's national animal is the Tiger, which teeters on the brink of extinction due to widespread deforestation, its national religion is a major religion, and its currency is the Dollar.
