The Balearic Island of Menorca is a massive, devout nation, notable for its complete lack of prisons. Its hard-working, cynical population of 3.406 billion are ruled with an iron fist by the corrupt, dictatorship government, which oppresses anyone who isn't on the board of a Fortune 500 company. Large corporations tend to be above the law, and use their financial clout to gain ever-increasing government benefits at the expense of the poor and unemployed.

The small, pro-business government juggles the competing demands of Defence, Religion & Spirituality, and Commerce. It meets every day to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Maó. Citizens pay a flat income tax of 12%. A substantial private sector is dominated by the Beef-Based Agriculture industry.

Menorca has designated Maó as its capital city, nervous homeowners have been blamed for rising death rates amongst carol singers and locksmiths, and military spending is on the increase. Crime is a problem, probably because of the country's utter lack of prisons. Menorca's national animal is the fish, which frolics freely in the nation's many lush forests, and its currency is the Florin.
