Menelmacar's Medieval Faire is renowned as one of the best in the region, shanty towns are forming in the suburbs of major cities, embarrassed police officers wear spandex and carry net guns, and calling out of the blue has become taboo. Crime is totally unknown, thanks to the all-pervasive police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. Menelmacar's national animal is the Great Eagle, which teeters on the brink of extinction due to widespread deforestation, and its currency is the Menelmacari credit.
