The Holy Republic of Mathghamna is a colossal, socially progressive nation, ruled by the Lord Magister of Mystra with an even hand, and remarkable for its punitive income tax rates. Its compassionate, hard-working, intelligent population of 8.394 billion have some civil rights, but not too many, enjoy the freedom to spend their money however they like, to a point, and take part in free and open elections, although not too often.

It is difficult to tell where the omnipresent government stops and the rest of society begins, but it devotes most of its attentions to Religion & Spirituality, with areas such as Healthcare and Social Equality receiving almost no funds by comparison. It meets every day to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Mathghamna Abbey. Citizens pay a flat income tax of 54%. A healthy private sector is dominated by the Tourism industry.

Notable individuals are granted land and titles, people reciting Shakespeare have become a common sight, volunteers are signing up to take arms against an incursion of flesh-eating zombies (Mathghamna has found 2 easter eggs), and wealthy students ride to school past mendicant dropouts. Crime -- especially youth-related -- is a problem. Mathghamna's national animal is the boggart, which frolics freely in the nation's many lush forests, its national religion is Mystracism, and its currency is the kilogram.
