Overview • PeopleGovernmentEconomyTrendAnalysis

The Kingdom of Marrakechia is a massive, devout nation, ruled by King Mohammed IV with a fair hand, and renowned for its hatred of cheese. Its compassionate, hard-working, intelligent population of 4.546 billion hold their civil and political rights very dear, although the wealthy and those in business tend to be viewed with suspicion.

It is difficult to tell where the omnipresent government stops and the rest of society begins, but it juggles the competing demands of Education, the Environment, and Commerce. It meets every day to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Marrakech. The average income tax rate is 46%, but much higher for the wealthy. The private sector is almost wholly made up of enterprising ten-year-olds selling lemonade on the sidewalk, although the government is looking at stamping this out.

The police force is on a recruitment drive, inheritance tax has recently been abolished, extreme political groups are outlawed, and CEOs and corporate executives are frequently found striking for better stock options. Crime -- especially youth-related -- is crippling. Marrakechia's national animal is the Atlas Lion, which frolics freely in the nation's many lush forests, its national religion is Religious Tolerant, and its currency is the Marrakechian Dirham.

Marrakechia is ranked 110th in European Union and 98,817th in the world for Shortest Average Lifespan, scoring -34 on the Bus Surprisal Index.
