The Grand United Peoples of Malikov is a colossal, economically powerful nation, ruled by Jessica DeBoné with an iron fist, and renowned for its sprawling nuclear power plants. Its hard-nosed, hard-working, cynical population of 6.369 billion are rabid consumers, partly through choice and partly because the government tells them to and dissenters tend to vanish from their homes at night.

It is difficult to tell where the omnipresent, corrupt government stops and the rest of society begins, but it juggles the competing demands of Education, Law & Order, and Healthcare. It meets every day to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Maldora Arat. The average income tax rate is 60%. A powerhouse of a private sector is led by the Tourism, Uranium Mining, and Arms Manufacturing industries.

Euthanasia is legal, X-Files ratings have hit an all-time low, airship use has soared while property values beneath their routes have plummeted, and daily newspapers are permitted to run only pro-government stories. Crime is totally unknown, thanks to the all-pervasive police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. Malikov's national animal is the Short-Tailed Gar, which teeters on the brink of extinction due to widespread deforestation, its national religion is Yarwenoia, and its currency is the Golden Soul.

Malikov is ranked 3,539th in the South Pacific and 90,752nd in the world for Most Influential, scoring 3 on the Soft Power Disbursement Rating.
