The People's Republic of Magyar Celtic United is a gargantuan, socially progressive nation, ruled by Our Dear Leader with an even hand, and renowned for its anti-smoking policies. Its compassionate population of 14.936 billion are fiercely patriotic and enjoy great social equality; they tend to view other, more capitalist countries as somewhat immoral and corrupt.

It is difficult to tell where the omnipresent, socially-minded government stops and the rest of society begins, but it concentrates mainly on Education, although the Environment and Social Welfare are secondary priorities. It meets every day to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Redstarium. The average income tax rate is 100%. The private sector is almost wholly made up of enterprising ten-year-olds selling lemonade on the sidewalk, although the government is looking at stamping this out.

Space research funding has hit a recent high while several military bases are being closed down, the government is promoting multicultural values with the new 'Just Be Nice, OK?' initiative, prime real estate is devoted to wind farms and solar energy generators, and all beauty contests have been banned. Crime is totally unknown, thanks to the all-pervasive police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. Magyar Celtic United's national animal is the falcon, which is also the nation's favorite main course, and its currency is the stella.
