The People's Republic of Magyar Celtic United is a gargantuan, safe nation, ruled by Our Dear Leader with an even hand, and renowned for its strong anti-business politics. Its compassionate, intelligent population of 17.307 billion are fiercely patriotic and enjoy great social equality; they tend to view other, more capitalist countries as somewhat immoral and corrupt.

It is difficult to tell where the omnipresent, socially-minded government stops and the rest of society begins, but it is mainly concerned with Education, although the Environment and Social Welfare are secondary priorities. It meets every day to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Redstarium. The average income tax rate is 100%. The private sector is almost wholly made up of enterprising ten-year-olds selling lemonade on the sidewalk, although the government is looking at stamping this out.

Prices for nearly everything reach all time highs as business subsidies are discontinued, Magyar Celtic United has one of the largest offshore wind farms in the world, it is now illegal for teens to view any sites except Club Kitten and My Little Donkey, and guns are banned. Crime is totally unknown, thanks to the all-pervasive police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. Magyar Celtic United's national animal is the falcon, which is also the nation's favorite main course, and its currency is the stella.
