It is difficult to tell where the omnipresent, corrupt, moralistic government stops and the rest of society begins, but it juggles the competing demands of Defence, Law & Order, and Healthcare. It meets every day to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Nordblyt. The average income tax rate is 100%. A powerhouse of a private sector is dominated by the Arms Manufacturing industry.

Fewer people are bathing as citizens must show ration stamps before they can turn on their faucets, school uniforms are compulsory, college students make ends meet by selling their kidneys, and politicians are often seen with soldiers pointing guns at their heads. Crime -- especially youth-related -- is totally unknown, thanks to the all-pervasive police force. Magehunter's national animal is the Strange Iron Beast, which frolics freely in the nation's many lush forests, its national religion is nonexistant, and its currency is the kvlt.
