The Free Republic of LSFR is a colossal, economically powerful nation, ruled by The Belette with a fair hand, and notable for its hatred of cheese. Its hard-working, intelligent population of 8.018 billion hold their civil and political rights very dear, although the wealthy and those in business tend to be viewed with suspicion.

It is difficult to tell where the omnipresent government stops and the rest of society begins, but it juggles the competing demands of Education, Law & Order, and Healthcare. It meets every day to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Telüfeth'. The average income tax rate is 92%, and even higher for the wealthy. A powerhouse of a private sector is dominated by the Information Technology industry.

An increasing percentage of the population's youth have homosexual parents, a survey of the nation's rivers and children has shown that pesticide levels are at an all-time regional high, all tariffs have been abolished, and citizens simply have to point a weapon at a government official to get what they want. Crime is totally unknown, thanks to the all-pervasive police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. LSFR's national animal is the Raccoon, which is also the nation's favorite main course, and its currency is the écu.

LSFR is ranked 24th in Quebec and 98,767th in the world for Shortest Average Lifespan, scoring -34 on the Bus Surprisal Index.
