The Federation of Llaguno is a massive, economically powerful nation, ruled by Lord Llaguno with an iron fist, and renowned for its parental licensing program. Its hard-nosed, cynical population of 2.559 billion are ruled by a mostly-benevolent dictator, who grants the populace the freedom to live their own lives but watches carefully for anyone to slip up.

It is difficult to tell where the omnipresent, corrupt government stops and the rest of society begins, but it juggles the competing demands of Defence, Law & Order, and Healthcare. It meets every day to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Dominate. The average income tax rate is 98%. A powerhouse of a private sector is dominated by the Arms Manufacturing industry.

'Mountain Doobie' is widely regarded as the nation's favourite drink, glittering new sports stadiums adorn every city and town, the airship business has been driven out of the country by strict regulations and high fines, and all news sources are under strict government control. Crime -- especially youth-related -- is totally unknown, thanks to the all-pervasive police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. Llaguno's national animal is the Wolf, which teeters on the brink of extinction due to widespread deforestation, its national religion is Roman Catholic, and its currency is the Piso.
